Co-occurring Support Group Facilitator
The Vermont Integrated Services Initiative (VISI) promotes the development of support groups for individuals with mental health and substance use conditions. We’re looking for individuals with personal recovery experience to facilitate support groups where discussions of both conditions is welcome and recovery is embraced. New groups will be started in your region with your help! Formats include Double Trouble, Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA) and All-Recovery Groups.
Video Discussion Series Facilitators
We have a great selection of new and old videos to choose from on a range of topics related to mental health and addiction. Peers in recovery are encouraged to contact us to facilitate these discussion groups to educate the public and the recovery community about recovery from co-occuring conditions. Typically this requires a four week commitment in your local area.
FOR-VT frequently receives requests for people in recovery, family members and firends to share their stories. Requests come from schools, conference organizers, medical practices, and more. Visit the Voices for Recovery page for more information.
Some tasks include data entry, filing, answering phones, organizing materials and website updates. Hours are flexible. Office location: Montpelier. (Recovery-friendly work environment!)
