The FACES Project
Families of Addiction Consulting for Effective Services
We Are made up of Vermont parents and families that have been personally impacted by adolescent substance use and/or mental health issues.
Our Mission is to involve parents and teens in shaping services regarding substance use and mental health issues across Vermont.
We Believe the family voice is powerful and must be heard on the local, state and national level.
Our Goal is to provide peer support and participate in advocacy initiatives regardless of where the journey begins (prevention) or where it leads (treatment) or how long it takes (long-term recovery) ...
We Envision:
- Supporting and educating families
- Changing attitudes
- Empowering families to help create policy changes
The FACES Project holds monthly regional meetings in Berlin, Rutland, and White River Junction and has a Family Advisory Board of consultants who are available to meet with community members and professionals.
We Value:
- Positive, strength based approaches
- Focusing on what’s working
- Opportunities to engage on all levels
